APPLY NOWCLOSER Studio is the in-house Creative and Marketing Studio for SCORPIOS, a lifestyle hospitality brand operating at the intersection of Music, Wellbeing and F&B. Together with its partner Soho House, the brand is expanding internationally.
We are looking for an experienced Art Director to join our Berlin-based creative team. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in brand creation, with proven experience across brand identity, visual storytelling, and multi-channel design, across digital, print, and motion.
We are searching for someone dependable, collaborative, and detail-oriented: a designer with strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to develop ideas that are both conceptually strong and beautifully crafted. You take pride and ownership in your work, can follow direction when needed, and confidently use your initiative to elevate every project.
You will join a team dedicated to building compelling brand experiences, distinctive visual identities, and strategic marketing campaigns for a fast-growing global brand.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategic brand foundations into authentic, distinctive visual identities and cohesive design concepts.
- Lead projects end-to-end: From concept and art direction to production and final delivery, ensuring strategic alignment and exceptional craft.
- Work across a multi-disciplinary studio environment, contributing to a diverse range of digital, print, and experiential projects.
- Direct photoshoots and creative productions, from early concepting through pre-production and post-production, including recommendations for creative talent.
- Develop clear, inspiring briefs for collaborator: photographers, directors, stylists, casting, and more and guide them toward strong outcomes.
- Take full ownership of your projects, proactively communicating progress, challenges, and solutions throughout all phases.
- Craft compelling, high-quality presentations that clearly articulate the creative journey and engage both client and internal teams.
- Apply empathy, insight, and intuition to create human-centered and culturally relevant work.
- Bring diverse and unexpected references from design, art, fashion, architecture, music, and beyond to inspire new creative directions and push boundaries.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an in-house creative department or design agency. Experience within contemporary lifestyle and hospitality brands is a plus.
- An impeccable eye for taste, trends and detail and how it best fits within the lifestyle travel segment.
- Strong typography skills and an eye for detail.
- Depending on the needs of the specific project, our team uses various software to bring their ideas to life, often including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, After Effects, Pitch, Midjourney and others.
- Passionate about visual identity, photography and storytelling.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of cultural and visual trends, with an interest in photography, travel, architecture, and interior design.
- Fluent in English.
